Well, I got word today that Asa may have left Biloxi. The Biloxi PD went to where he had been working, the employer said that Asa was not there, the police left, and Asa probably heard about it.
It took us years to track Asa down - including one year spent convincing the Rhode Island police and courts that Asa had indeed defrauded us. Asa must have been born under a lucky star - waste of a lucky star in my opinion - because he slithers out of everything, only to recruit new victims.
If anyone at all has an address for him, can bring the police to him, or can bring him to the police, do the world a favor and help get Asa off the streets.

The judge in Rhode Island Superior court finally issued a warrant for our good friend Asa. He didn't show up for his 12th rescheduled hearing, so I guess maybe the judge is finally figuring out that Asa is not such a good little boy.
I received an email recently telling me that Asa is in Biloxi, MS. The warrant is extraditable - he'll get an all expenses paid trip back to Rhode Island.
If you see him around, please do everyone a favor and call the police. Tell the police that Asa has a nation wide warrant, and tell the police where they can come pick him up. Please do this. It took years for us to find him and I fear that he will just disappear again.
The victim advocate from the State of Rhode Island got in touch with us about two weeks ago to tell us that Asa, or someone on his behalf, wants to settle our case for $32,000. We have documented losses of over $40,000 but if there is any chance of recovering anything at all then we'll take it. It seems to me that if someone in the court system, someone who can impose punishments, keeps after Asa and tries to squeeze something out of him, then there is a glimmer of a chance.
We were told when Asa'a court date would be and we were informed that we would be able to make a victim impact statement. Sounds good, right? Well, no surprise, Asa did not appear. The disgustingly liberal judge just pushed the hearing date out a few months more. No justice was done, nothing accomplished, no relief after 8 years of irritation.
I have long since lost faith in the Rhode Island criminal justice system. Lifelong criminals such as Asa, who seldom suffer for their actions, get the benefit of every doubt, force everyone else to accommodate their schedules, and are coddled by The System.
No surprise but Asa didn't show up for his court date in Rhode Island. Rather than issue a bench warrant the court event is that his case is now "Pending Further Investigation". What's to investigate? We have all the documentation, including receipts signed by Asa. Here are the last few events from Courtconnect:

Well, this piece of shit sad excuse for a human being has slithered his way out of a jam again.
He was in jail in New Jersey from May 2014 until February 26, 2015. He was released from Jail in New Jersey for time served. The money he had with him when he was arrested was paid out to a victim in Atlantic City and some other lucky recipients.
Asa was extradited to Rhode Island to face our 6 year old felony charges. The liberal Rhode Island court system dithered around and finally set him free yesterday, Feb 9, 2015. He has a hearing scheduled for next month, but does anyone think that he will show up? He has been hiding from the law for years. He won't show up. He'll have a warrant after he fails to show up, and the warrant will hang out there, but I don't think we'll ever find him again.
The justice system has failed to address the victims of this worthless predator. He will immediately go back to his old ways, cheating people out of their hard earned money, intimidating his (usually female) marks, and breathing air that would be better used by decent, law abiding citizens.
I am upset, his other victims are upset. The only person smiling is Asa. Watch out.
Asa finally got tripped up. He scammed a person in Little Egg Harbor, New Jersey, and she went to the police and reported him. Patrolman Mahr of the Little Egg Harbor Police Dept snapped the cuffs on Asa Saturday, May 24th.

Asa is a guest of the Ocean County Department of Corrections, where he will remain waiting for additional charges to be filed by any other victims in the area. And just when he's expecting to be released so that he can disappear, he'll be coming back to Rhode Island to face the felony fraud charges that we brought against him in 2009.
This is a good day. His deceptions are being publicized in South Jersey, which will spare some people from falling victim to this smooth talking con man.

I haven't done anything with this blog for a few years now. Spammers were posting ads for all sorts of junk, I would get an occasional tip from someone who saw him in an AC casino, but until he got caught for an arrestable offense there was little that I could do. Now he's in Jail, and he'll be coming to RI to face the music.
Even though he was arrested with $40,000 cash in the car he was driving, I'm not confident that we will see any of that money. I just want the satisfaction of seeing Asa again, and him seeing me, as he is escorted out of the court room.

i'm (deleted) from (deleted) county,ms asa was known by my daughter (deleted) down in gulfport,ms he convinced me to give him my 69'mach 1 mustang to refurbish in which i did he took it to the coast and always come up with excuses about when it was going to be fixed well it was just a matter of time that i finally figured the whole thing out HE STOLE IT FROM ME!!!!

Yesterday this blog got two new comments from someone familiar with Asa. This is great! If we work together we can stop him. It would be extremely helpful to know if anyone has seen Asa lately or heard of where he might be.
Asa conned a gentleman in Gulfport, MS out of his '69 Mach 1 Mustang! Thank you very much for letting the world know about yet another rip off! We are still embarrased and angry ourselves, as I am sure you are too.
This person didn't say when that happened, but we know for a fact that Asa has arrest warrants in that state so we would be surprised if he is operating in that area right now.
If Asa gets picked up by the police he will be brought back to Rhode Island for his warrants here. We are patiently waiting for that day.
